I had my last exam yesterday! Although it went terribly (it did for everyone – our lecturer told us to revise certain topics that didn’t even come up in the exam, he writes the questions as well!) I am so glad to be able to be doing my first guilt-free post in a long time. No more thinking ‘but I really should be revising…’!
Also, because of how hectic things have been of late, I forgot to tell you that me and the boy have found a flat! It is in a gorgeous area with lots of little delis and cute little bars. It only has one bedroom, so a little on the small side but the kitchen is big enough to fit a dining table in which is what I wanted and we just fell in love with the location. So I have been searching the Internet on my first morning off for any space saving ideas I could find. With Martha Stewart.com fast becoming the website I consult first about such matters (is there anything that women can’t do?), I found these ideas:

Empty paint cans that have been cleaned up and transformed into little storage pots

Squares of spare carpet make a notice board with a difference

An old ladder can double up as a towel rail (looks wonderful but a little impractical for mine and the boy’s flat I think)
Although the uni year has finished, I still have a mountain of jobs to get through before I start a three-week work experience placement in a secondary school teaching art.
- Start to pack things up for moving day
- Find some suitable clothes for when I’m teaching
- Find a watch to cover up my tattoo on my wrist
- Research and buy Stuart’s birthday present (unfortunately i can’t post my ideas so far, he occasionally reads my blog!)
- Produce a piece of art (god knows what yet) for my dad for Fathers Day
- ^ For which I need some new art supplies
However, the jobs are going to start tomorrow for tonight I am off to see Sex and the City! Stuart bought us advanced-screening tickets, you can only imagine how excited I am. I think we are going for cocktails before hand as well!
Sorry for this very long post, I’m getting quite carried away with all my news! Hope everyone had fantastic bank holiday weekends!

Congratulations on your new pad! I’m sure between yourself and martha you’ll find lots of interesting ways to make th best of your space. I hope you have a fabulous night tonight and have a Manhattan for me! (I have my date booked in for next weekend

Those are lovely ways to organize! And how exciting to be bustling with the move and errands! I love being productive when it’s of my own accord!
Good luck!
