I have finally proof-read, printed out and stapled together my two essays ready to hand in tomorrow! There is something quite satisfying about flicking through 5,000 words of your own hard work. It reminds me of just how much I enjoy uni. Stuart cannot wait to get into the world of work and start earning money, (which he will be doing in July – scary) but I really don’t mind uni work at all. I strongly dislike the exam aspect of it all, but I love writing essays. And even though I struggled alot with the one I have just finished, I still enjoyed it, and I can say that I honestly loved the challenge (though I would not have said that at the time!).
It makes me think more and more about getting into lecturing. That way I would be able to combine teaching art history with writing. My mum is a lecturer and she still writes alot of widely acclaimed essays, its very admirable really.
I have had a tiring couple of days – trying to get these essays done and I worked in the bar 8pm-2am yesterday and then had to get up to do a 12am-6pm today. Busy Saturday night and Sunday day shifts. But I’m home now and can’t wait to sip a cup of tea whilst reading my book in bed!
Anyway, enough about me! I will leave you with some wonderful photographs from my bedroom window. It snowed last night and when I woke up this morning it had settled a little and the sun was shinning. It was a lovely way to wake up. Especially in Manchester – these sights are rare!

Hope everyone has had a lovely day. I’m looking forward to recharging my batteries for the next couple of days. That is until the next essay is due in… what did I say about enjoying uni again?!

Congratulations on finishing your essays – a great accomplishment! I hope you get a little bit of time to rest before the next one is due

You should totally become a lecturer!! It would be soo exciting! Are you going to apply for a phd? My cousin has just finished a doctorate in art history and I’m sure she would love to give you academic type advice!
Congrats on your essays! I have done the classic mistake of going 2,000 words over my dissertation limit, which sounds good but in theory would lose me 2 whole classifications haha!
Whats Stuart planning to work at in July? I cant wait for July! Manchester/Liverpool Uni here I come!!! xxxxxxxxx

Your pictures make me want to strike up in song from a musical called, “Oklahoma!” – “Oh, what a beautiful morning! Oh, what a beautiful day!”
Congrats on finishing your essays! I say, meditate on what your heart desires – if it’s a calling to lecture – at least give it a go – if it works out, then GREAT! If it doesn’t, then at least you know that much. I say do it!

Congratulations on finishing your essays, it is always such a releif and rearding feeling finishing off a large piece of work. I find so much inspiration from Andy Goldsworthy at art scholl too, I am always amazed by how he works with nature to create beautiful pieces of art

Good job! Now I know that someone out there loves writing essays. I absolutely hate it – that’s what keeping me from doing my Masters. I love going to class but when the essay comes, I cry. Hahah Someday I will pluck up enough courage to go.
